On 2 December 2025, at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba, Cochrane Russia, together with other members of the Cochrane Collaboration, the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Risk and Safety in Medicine, the Coalition for Rational and Safe Use of Medicines (CoRSUM), the Association of Clinical Pharmacologists of the Russian Federation, and with the participation of the World Health Organisation, held an extended Master class "Evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for multimorbidity: is there a paradigm shift?" to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Cochrane Centre in Russia. Cochrane Russia as part of QiQUM 2025.
The master class opened the QiQUM 2025 week, dedicated to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Cochrane Russia, which concluded on Saturday, December 6, 2025, with the Cochrane School of Evidence-Based Medicine in Kazan at the Kazan State Medical University.
The focus was on issues of regulation, use of medicines and medical technologies; national lists of essential medicines, clinical guidelines/recommendations, methodologies for their development and quality assessment; the capabilities of new intelligent computer systems; ethical and legal aspects; studies assessing the impact of misleading information and pervasive conflicts of interest on these processes and healthcare tools.
The event generated great interest, inspired discussions, and had a wide resonance.
As part of QiQUM 2025 and the Master Class, guests of RUDN University named after Patrice Lumumba and Cochrane Russia, Professor Yaolong Chen and Professor Janne Estill, gave open lectures, the materials of which we present in this news report about the week of the QiQUM 2025, dedicated to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Cochrane Russia, which concluded on Saturday, December 6, 2025, with the Cochrane School of Evidence-Based Medicine in Kazan at the Kazan State Medical University.
