December 6, the Cochrane School of Evidence-Based Medicine, QiQUM 2025, was held at Kazan State Medical University to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Cochrane Russia.

The event was designed for young scientists and healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, decision-makers in healthcare and healthcare research, and all persons who want becoming involved in the Cochrane Collaboration's activies in Russia.

Professor Yaolong Chen, Dean of the Institute of Medical Data Sciences and Director of the Cochrane China Community (Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, China);
Professor Janne Estill (Lanzhou, China / Geneva, Switzerland / Tallinn, Estonia);
Professor Liliya Eugenevna Ziganshina (Kazan, Moscow, Russian Federation)

During the intensive program, the experts revealed the principles of the world-renowned Cochrane Collaboration and the fundamental role of systematic reviews in making informed clinical decisions. Particular attention was paid to practical methodology: how to correctly evaluate and use data from Cochrane reviews for doctors and researchers, as well as where to start when working on your own review.

An important part of the discussion was the topic of integrating cutting-edge scientific resources into the educational process. The speakers clearly demonstrated how the Cochrane Library and other evidence-based medicine tools can form the foundation for training modern and competent specialists—from students and residents to postgraduate students and practicing physicians.

In conclusion, the school moderator, Head of the Department of Pharmacology Prof. A.U. Ziganshin, expressed his hope for the continuation of mutually beneficial contacts between scientists from Kazan State Medical University and professors from Lanzhou University in China.
