Cochrane Russia, based in the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education (RMANPO), jointly with other members of the Cochrane Collaboration, the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Risk and Safety in Medicine, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba, Kazan State Medical University, Coalition for Rational and Safe Use of Medicines (CoRSUM), the Association of Clinical Pharmacologists of the Russian Federation, Russian Society of Medical Education Specialists and the Higher School of Healthcare Organization and Management, and with the participation of the World Health Organization, presents a series of events dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Cochrane Russia:

- Cochrane School of Evidence-Based Medicine – 6 December 2025 (Kazan, Russia)
These special events celebrate the 10th anniversary of Cochrane Russia and serve as a platform to discuss progress, challenges, and future directions in evidence-based healthcare.
We warmly invite you to join us in this milestone event and contribute to shaping the future of trusted health evidence.
Participants will engage in discussions on critical issues related to the quality of medical care, the importance of reliable evidence in informed decision-making, and health policy. The conference will highlight the role of Cochrane systematic reviews and other contributions from The Cochrane Collaboration in developing and implementing healthcare tools.
The conference will focus on issues of regulation, use of medicines and medical technologies; clinical guidelines/recommendations, methodology of their development and quality assessment; capabilities of new intelligent computer systems; ethical and legal aspects; research devoted to assessing the impact of misleading information and pervasive conflicts of interest on these processes and healthcare tools.
Key topics include:
- Regulation and use of medicines and health technology
- Development and quality assessment of clinical practice guidelines
- Evidence, clinical studies: registration, and reporting
- Potential benefits and risks of new intelligent computer systems (AI)
- Research on the impact of misleading information and conflicts of interest

These discussions will emphasize the need of rigorous evidence while evaluating the significance of medicines and medical technologies on public health, as well as the dissemination of Cochrane evidence within the professional healthcare community and the public.

- Development of National Essential Medicines Lists, clinical guidelines/recommendations, other healthcare tools, and addressing misleading medical information in the context of knowledge engineering development within the ethical and legal frameworks.
- The role of Cochrane evidence in informed decision-making, medical and pharmaceutical education, and public awareness.
- Cochrane evidence for public education.
- The impact of scientific evidence and conflicts of interest on public health, clinical practice, research agendas (experimental and clinical medicine), pharmaceutical management and healthcare management.

On December 2, 2025, as part of the planned regular series of Cochrane Russia master classes "Evidence-based clinical practice guidelines", the first master class with international participation "Evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for multimorbidity: is there a paradigm shift?" will be held at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba.
The Cochrane School of Evidence-Based Medicine is scheduled to take place at the Kazan State Medical University (Kazan) on December 6, 2025. The event is intended for young scientists and healthcare professionals, researchers, teachers, decision-makers in healthcare and healthcare research, and anyone wishing to take part in the activities of the Cochrane Collaboration in Russia.
